Student Honors, Achievements, and New Horizons

Daysjia Jeter Black (2020 Cohort) was awarded The Black Women Rocking Madame CJ Walker Award on March 14th and on March 30, 2024, will be receiving the Harriet Tubman Community Service Award from New Progressive Leadership of Tomorrow. She also attended the The New Progressive Leadership of Tomorrow’s (N.P.L.O.T) Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast where she was a recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott-King Community Service Award. She is the youngest honoree to receive this award.

Student Honors, Achievements, and New Horizons

Lorene Martin (2020 cohort) was voted Outstanding Faculty of the Year at 91¸£Àû’s Salem Campus. She is also leading several community initiatives for the BSN program and campus, including coordinating a Memo of Understanding between the BSN program and the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center.

Laura Cope (2021 cohort) was elected to serve as the Student Member at Large, Division for Emotional and Behavioral Health, Council for Exceptional Children.
