University Budget Update

This is the fourth annual budget update of my presidency. My goal each year is to provide a transparent and informative report on the financial health of 91¸£Àû and to do so in language that is accessible to someone, say, like me, who has no formal training in budgeting nor accounting. By the end of this report, if we accomplish what we set out to do, you should have as good an understanding of 91¸£Àû’s annual budget and performance as I do.

Presidential Fellow

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Ortiz, Ph.D., as the 91¸£Àû Presidential Fellow, beginning fall 2022. As the Fellow, Dr. Ortiz will work with the divisions of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI); Academic Affairs; Research and Sponsored Programs; and the Office of the President in supporting the development of 91¸£Àû’s SEA Change action plan.

Dozens of 91¸£Àû alumni and long-time fans made their way to Albany for the team's first-round matchup with Indiana. Former players and the university's cheer team led a rockus gathering inside MVP Arena prior to tip-off.  Most in attendance say it's been a long day waiting for tip-off, but they hope it's worth it at the final buzzer.
