On Thursday, January 26 the Growing Democracy Project will host an artists’ reception in the Uumbaji Gallery in Oscar Ritchie Hall at 91���� (Kent Campus) for the Photovoice Project on Race and Democracy in northeast Ohio. The event is free and open to the public and runs from 4-6:30 p.m.   Photovoice is a community-engaged art project that uses photography and storytelling to describe the strengths, weaknesses, and overall health of our community. Following an initial two-year period, Molded Fiber Glass (MFG) Chairman Richard Morrison recently returned to the 91���� at Ashtabula Campus to announce a two-year renewal of the MFG Foundation Ashtabula County Scholarship program. As in the program’s first two years, the program is funding $50,000 in scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year and $50,000 the following year.
