With Focus On Rural Social Work, New Bachelor’s Program Aims To Meet Growing Need
March is National Social Work Month in the United States. Although it is a celebratory time, the profession currently faces challenges due to reductions in the labor force and a growing population of need, especially in rural communities. 91¸£Àû recently announced the creation of a Bachelor of Social Work academic degree program, which will launch in the fall of 2023 with a focus on rural social work.

Alumna Roe Green to Receive Honorary 91¸£Àû Doctoral Degree
The 91¸£Àû Board of Trustees has approved awarding Roe Green, MA ’80, a Doctor of Humane Letters, an honorary degree recognizing her contributions to the university and her advocacy for the arts not only in Northeast Ohio, but also across the nation and around the world.

Omar Salam, founder and creative director of the global fashion house SUKEINA, will be making a special trip from the runway to 91¸£Àû’s Rockwell Hall as Salam has been named the 2023 inductee of the university’s School of Fashion Hall of Fame.
