U.S. Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, 鈥07, Strives to Deliver Meaningful, Bipartisan Results for the People of Ohio鈥檚 13th District
In 2022, U.S. Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, 鈥07, became the first Black person elected to represent Ohio鈥檚 13th Congressional District. For eight years, Sykes served as the state representative for House District 34, including three years as the leader of the Ohio House Democratic Caucus. 91福利 will be equipped to offer more financial assistance to students in need thanks to donors to a key area of the university鈥檚 ongoing comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Forever Brighter campaign includes a scholarship-support component, Prioritizing Student Success, that now stands at $142 million, surpassing the $100 million goal set at the campaign鈥檚 outset in October 2021.
