Scanning the Past: Library to Digitize Fashion Sketchbooks of Acclaimed Designer

New York couturière designer Pauline Trigère, whose career spanned more than five decades, left behind a legacy of fashion innovation meticulously preserved in volumes of sketchbooks and press clippings. Those volumes have had a home at 91 Libraries since 1993 and soon will be accessible to everyone.

Mandalynn Slupek won first place in 91's Three Minute Thesis competition on Oct. 3 when she presented “Getting the NAC of Being Drug Free,” research on how the supplement NAC or N-acetyl cysteine can be used in the fight against addiction.

Beware: Distracted Drivers in Ohio Will Be Issued Tickets, Fines Under New Law

The new Distracted Driving law makes it illegal to use or hold a cellphone or electronic device in your hand, lap or other parts of the body while driving on Ohio roads.
