Internship Spotlights

All undergraduate students in the School of Visual Communication Design are required to complete a three-credit-hour internship before graduation.

We provide guidance to help our students find paid design, photo and illustration internship positions with businesses, non-profit organizations, educational institutions and government entities. For more than 50 years, the school has graduated thousands of students and created an extended network of alumni, forging relationships with prominent businesses both in Ohio and around the country. Many internships are available on the 91福利 campus, locally in Kent, Ravenna, Akron, Youngstown, Cleveland and throughout Ohio, as well as other cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Read about some of our students' experiences here.

  • For her internship at Auden & Co., photography major Sophie Kannberg has been learning about photoshoot prep, networking and teamwork. • Through her internship with Fuse Branding Company, based out of Arizona, Katie Carpenter has been able to collaborate with design professionals all over the world. She鈥檚 learned a bit about what she wants out of a future career, too: 鈥淚 definitely want to stay on the people end of things ...
