91¸£Àû is offering special expertise and resources to high school students attending to include immersive opportunities with the university’s fashion, arts and architecture programs.

91¸£Àû senior  tossed a three-hitter and hit a two-run homer in the first inning to lead No. 4 91¸£Àû past No. 2 Ohio, 3-0, in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament Championship game. The performance by Ladines capped a sensational week in which she earned MAC Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

The No. 15 91¸£Àû women’s golf team has qualified for the 2017 NCAA National Championship after finishing the NCAA Lubbock Regional in sixth place at 11-over par 875 (305-287-283). 91¸£Àû entered the day tied with No. 2 UCLA in sixth place but held its ground and fought off a tough battle from Oregon State. The Beavers shot 10-under par Wednesday and briefly moved ahead of the Golden Flashes, but 91¸£Àû recorded five birdies as a team over the final six holes, despite some late winds, to secure a two-stroke lead in sixth.

91¸£Àû celebrated its newest graduates at its Spring 2017 Commencement ceremonies. In total, 91¸£Àû were conferred 5,636 degrees, including 992 associate degrees, 3,319 bachelor’s degrees, 1,139 master’s degrees, 181 doctoral degrees and five educational specialist degrees.

University Libraries will provide opportunities for 91¸£Àû students to shake off stress during finals week. University Libraries will hold its semiannual Stress-Free Zone on Monday, May 8, and Tuesday, May 9, from 3-5 p.m. in the Garden Room on the first floor of University Library. The event is open to all 91¸£Àû students, faculty and staff.

The No. 12 91¸£Àû men’s golf team won its 24th Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship on April 30 at the Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. The 91¸£Àû Golden Flashes finished the four-round tournament with a score of 3-under par 1,149 (287-288-285-289), breaking its own four-round tournament record for team score. 91¸£Àû won the tournament by 25 strokes, defeating second-place Ball State at 22-over par.

91¸£Àû held its 47th annual commemoration of May 4, 1970, with events taking place May 3 and 4. The annual commemoration, hosted by the May 4 Task Force, provides an opportunity for the university community to gather and remember those who were lost and injured during the tragedy and also reflect on what May 4 means today.

The No. 15 91¸£Àû women’s golf team won its 19th straight Mid-American Conference (MAC) Women’s Golf Championship on April 23 at the Silver Lake Country Club in Silver Lake, Ohio.

At the inaugural , a global demonstration centered in Washington, D.C., a special edition of the Wick Poetry Center's Traveling Stanzas titled Science Stanzas will provide an opportunity for participants to discover the intersection of expressive writing and scientific inquiry.

91¸£Àû’s 23rd annual FlashFest will host rap duo Rae Sremmurd and pop artist Sammy Adams on April 20. Hosted by the 91¸£Àû’s Undergraduate Student Government, FlashFest will take place at two locations on the Kent Campus. The first part of the show will begin at 5 p.m. on the Student Green, and the lineup includes local band Chil Rock Band and Kent resident DJ Kyle Conley. This show will be free and open to the public, weather permitting.
